Resolved issue with energy bet from 17/9

Resolved issue from 17/9It was in fact my banks fault not energy bet.Issue with Mastercard debit and gambling sites, they need to to manually transfer it.My grievance is that I went into my bank physically twice and upteen digital chats to get told wrong information.I needed energy bet to walk me through what I need to say to bank for them to investigate which they eventually did via retail disputes.Absolutely disgusting experience

Excessive anti-money laundering checks

I deposited a mere £15 with EnergyBet. This was gladly accepted. I then tried to withdraw the same amount to the same bank account and was instructed to send personal and address documentation. They only care about AML regulations after they have your money. The AML procedures are excessive and far greater than they need to be. Their requirements even exceed that of traditional financial services (I should know, I work in personal financial planning). For a mere £15, I had to submit 4 different documents, some of which weren't "good enough" and needed to be resent. It's £15 - I'm not going to fund terrorist activity or launder drug money for such a paltry sum...Don't bother with EnergyBet. There are more convenient, less poorly operated betting firms out there.

Underhanded and unprofessional.

Oh dear, oh dear. Yet another online sports betting provider that’s been given a licence by the UK Gambling Commission and doesn’t adhere to their licence conditions. They have no regard for UK Consumer Law and are contemptuous towards their customers. They employ the common tactic of readily accepting deposits and then blocking withdrawals, citing ‘affordability/due diligence’. The level of stupidity in even indulging in this kind of unscrupulous behaviour tells you all you need to know about this company. Unless you are well grounded in UK Law and have the knowledge and wherewithal to take them to the UK courts for remuneration, then simply do not open an account with them as you will be massively disappointed.

Terrible site

Terrible site. Try to withdraw winnings and they attempt to block with nonsense about wagering not complete.Cost 3% to withdraw your winnings which they clearly don't like. I mean imagine wanting to take your money.Very poorly laid out site and very few bonus offers. Many more sites much better than this one. Avoid

SCAM SCAM SCAM

I had a free bet and won £90 I then realised it was my old card on the site and usually you can just add a new card but not with these monkeys. They suspended my account and said I need to get the bank to send out a letter verifying the card is no longer in use don't know why you can't add a new card. They also took a further £10 out my bank and I don't know where it has gone. They will let you deposit with any card but then dont pay out. I think it's definitely a scam. They have now suspended my account probably never see the money.

Scam with deposits…

All deposits that I have made with creditcard to them it said Leoletto 2, KYIV, UA in the bank statement. Now ONE PAY , KYIV, UA and QUICK PAY, KYIV, UA have charged me 6 EUR And 7 EUR in two deposits. This is most likely some kind of scam. The support at Energy Bet says that I should contact my bank and they can’t even provide me contact details to Leoletto 2 that somehow is there payment privider. This stinks.

Appalling gaming site

Appalling gaming site. This betting site is the worst out there from where British customers can bet from. The verification process is shambolic, absolute joke!! I won a measly £150 and I didn't want to withdraw the money, They suspended the account, they were happy to accept the deposits.Every step of the way the verification process was horrific.holding an ID to my face with a date on a white paper 😂. Honestly it was comical. The live chat was terrible aswell. So blunt and unhelpful. This site is the worst betting site that UK customers can use. I've said I will be closing my account and there response was.... okay. Stay away guys

Good service but slow withdrawal with bank transfer.

Avoid!!

This has to be one of the worse bookies I have ever known! The website is constantly buggy so when you need to place that important bet you cant even log in! When you are logged in the site is slow and at times unresponsive. I was also given a £10 welcome bonus which was nice but I could not use it! I tried over several days from laptop and mobile device without any luck. Customer service was also very unhelpful and just kept copy and pasting the T&C's which was meaningless as I had followed it to a tee. They then went on to ask me if I was happy to close the account? What kind of help is that!? I would certainly look elsewhere and AVOID at all costs!

Absolute rip off merchants

Absolute rip off merchants - they take a not-unsubstantial charge for withdrawals. Also far too invasive of privacy. They emailed me asking for personal information such as my employment status, job description, monthly earnings, etc. This was accompanied by a request to upload bank card and passport photos together with a utility bill from within the last three months. They can shove that kind of intrusion into my private life. How dare these dodgy bookies question me to this extent while pretending it's all for my own good. Who the hell do they think they are. This is Big Brother gone mad and no one should subscribe to it. If they're concerned about gambling addiction then let them place a weekly max £250 deposit on every account!!

Bunch of robbers

Bunch of robbers. I tried to transfer 20 quid in my account and they took 40 ..that's fine.. but despite the payment going from my bank and its clearly in my deposit history in my energy bet account the money has never appeared in my account. Shame they were no issues prior to this. Customer service now asking for proof via my bank account however.. as explained 10 times in the last few days , I cannot send anything such as a screenshot due to security on the banking app. Also noticed they remove games a lot when it's clear they will be a goal scored. Which is rubbisb for me as I do 1st half goal inplays

This is the WORST betting company I…

This is the WORST betting company I have ever used. Avoid them at all costs. Won £90.50 on my account. Didn’t ask for no verification before I deposited. Then I tried to withdraw the winnings then they all of a sudden wanted proof of verification. No problem I sent them everything they asked for and more. They kept refusing my documents for no valid reason just making up any excuse to reject them. This went on for 3/4 weeks. EVENTUALLY they accepted my documents and approved my withdrawal. Then to go on and close my account for no reason. So I wait for my withdrawal then to get an email stating they have tried ‘numerous’ Times to put my money in the bank but there was a problem with my bank and to contact my bank to see if incoming payments are switched on. I done this and the bank have told me there is no issue from there end (also have received a refund from another company with no issue yesterday). So I email them telling them what the bank have said and I have heard nothing back and still don’t have my money. They are a joke and just try anything to not pay you. Disgusting company and should be looked into by trading standards.

I almost deposited my money to start…

I almost deposited my money to start betting on this site, but looking at the reviews I'm afraid to do so. I don't have a passport, I only have a national ID issued by the Zambian government (I am Zambian) which I'm not sure could be accepted during identity verification by this site. I tried to have my account verified before making my first deposit in order to avoid unnecessary complications in future but this is the message I received, "PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FOR THE TIME BEING WE DO NOT REQUIRE IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS FROM YOU.Once it is necessary to verify your identity, address or payment method we will notify you and enable upload functionality in this tab."

Blocked at sign-up, ridiculous. Glad though given all the terrible reviews, clearly a company to stay away from.

I took advantage of the enerybet…

I took advantage of the enerybet promotion of getting 10£ after placing a 10£ bet. I was skeptical if terms and conditions were deceptive but was not the case, and whether they were gonna credit them with delays, but have no regrets, thanks to this reward I won 200£ in sports, so I guess that is destiny at its best.

Offer bonuses to entice but take them back. Avoid

Signed up for an offer they had and thought I'd give them a go. They sent me an email saying 50% Euro 2020 deposit bonus which got my attention. (Up to max £100)Reading through the T&Cs you have to bet on accumulators for your bonus bets and do so x12 of your bonus, which is a bit steep, but not unheard of.Keep reading though, this has to be done within 3 days with no bets allowed to be placed on markets that aren't settled within that 3 days.£1200 worth of bets within 3 days to keep your bonus!?! Just a sneaky way for people to put money into their account. Appalling. Avoid.EnergyBet, if you're going to offer a bonus offer a bonus, if 99% of your customers aren't going to be able to meet the terms then don't bother.Update: They have since asked me for my name and reference number, despite the offer being one that anyone can take them up on, the terms are clearly visible on their website. They are asking me for additional information in the hope I don't provide it so they can then ask Trustpilot to remove this review. Instead of asking me for pointless information which isn't going to change the terms of the offer you have on, you might want to look at creating offers that you customers can use properly. £100 bonus but only if you bet £1200 on bets within 3 days? Dear oh dear.
